As a Seventh-day Adventist student organization, we aim to prepare MU students for the imminent return of Christ through a lifestyle of love, service, and Biblical fidelity. A part of the preparation for Christ’s return is to reach people through Biblical truth. While Christ is the center of our church and organization, we are unique in our beliefs. The following two statements represent a sample of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s beliefs:

We hold the Seventh Day Sabbath as the only day of worship, not the first day of the week.
We believe that our bodies are the temple of God; therefore we promote a healthy lifestyle (i.e., eating vegetarian, exercise, being abstinent from alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc.).

Therefore the purpose of ACF at MU is:

Meet the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the students and faculty of the MU campus.
Proclaim to all people the everlasting gospel in the context of the three angels’ messages in Revelation 14:6-12 and the Great Controversy between Christ and Satan by uplifting the character of God and His law as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.
Lead people to accept Jesus as their Lord and personal Savior and to unite with His church in fellowship.
Live and exemplify a consecrated Christian life as stewards of God in concert with His word and counsel of the Spirit of Prophecy.
Conduct in-depth studies of the Holy Scriptures and provide wholesome and Bible-based and Christ-centered programs, activities, and services.
Nurturing a cohesive community of believers with Jesus Christ at the center, as we look for His soon return.
Uphold the Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Finally these goals will be accomplished through a commitment among our members to reach out to others and encourage the development of spiritual, intellectual, physical, and mental life.
